Flux Forest

Wandersleb Leo

A surprisingly fun game for those who don't mind doing a little bit on number crunching as they wait in line at the Chiropractor. The less then steller graphics to get the game started had be rolling my eyes at first, but several minutes later I had to be calmed down by strangers as I was leaping on top of my chair yelling "You are going to die ghosts!"

Aside from the obvious laughs from the concept of killing corporeals this game premise seems a bit of aloof, you are an army of rapidly multiplying bees that are trying to claim forest tries from an army are nearly as aggressive spirits. I leave it to the readers to decide if the 'flux' in the name is derived from the constant sacking and liberating of these trees, or if it's a nod to the purgatory that these spirits must exist in as they battle for supremacy of the forest.

Beyond the rather cartoon-ish character lists. This game involves some basic strategy concepts that get tougher and tougher to control as you progress through a rather large arrangement of forest settings. There is no need to fork over any dinero, the ads are mostly out of the way. The graphics are about as simple as they come, and the math engine that backs it up is about as simple as it comes. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this game looks like a 4 year old may have designed it. That being said, I tip my bee keepers hat to that four year old for making a game that in actually quite fun!

Recommendation - Give it a chance, you may be surprised.
